NOTE

"My Grandfather was Aaron Heywood who was born about 1888 and worked in the local coal mines as a hewer. He once went to Australia New S. Wales and worked in a quarry then came back to marry my Grandmother Annie Davies. We all lived in houses off Sale Lane at 33 and 35 Lynton Road (once called Francis Street). Aaron Heywood married Annie Davies and my mothers name was Vera she was the eldest, there was a baby Irene who died soon after birth, Gladys who died on 4 Sept 05 and Arthur who is still alive. I remember my grandads mother was called Maria. Also, Auntie May came to my grandad Aaron's funeral in 1964, she also made my mothers wedding dress, I was told that she was a tailoress. I also remember the name Martha."
