NOTE

Leonard (1917-1982), of American Samoa. There was also 2 other un-named girls who died just hours after they were born. "Met future wife Alaisea while she was a nurse at the navy annex in American Samoa. Avid tennis player and fisherman. Became a golf enthusiast in the late 60`s-early 70`s. Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his children who had come home for sister Carol`s wedding that same day." (From Yandall Family).

My father's father was Leonard Alfonso Yandall. He was born to Robert Louis Yandall and Barbara Wolf of Apia, Samoa. (These notes were provided by Virginia Yandall-Tagaloa)

Dad passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his children who had come home for sister Carols wedding that same day. Mom passed while undergoing dialysis at LBJ Tropical Medical Center. She was not alone, her sister Aunty Pa'a was with her undergoing dialysis too. (by Herbert Yandall)

Other deaths covered by Samoa News were Leland Patrick Yandall, a diver with the Department of Marine and Wildlife Resources who died while diving off Leone and William Pila Kikuchi, 68, the first archaeologist to do work in American Samoa, who passed away off-island. (from Pacific Islands Report, 2003)
