Jane was born c 1856 at Stalbridge, Dorset & died in 1897. She was the dau. of Charles & Hannah Collins.

The 1881 census records Albert & Jane at 117 Gold Harbour, Sherborne, Dorset then later at Rose Crown Inn, Sherborne, Dorset (1891), with Albert changing occupations from a Mason to a Publican. Also present was Jane's mother Hannah Collins, who was a Glover (Finisher).

The 1901 census records Albert (back to being a Mason again) at Westbury ? , Sherborne, Dorset with mother-in-law Hannah Collins, Housekeeper.
