Edith was recorded as a visitor with her son at Garpel Farm, Muirkirk, Ayrshire in the 1881 census. Also present was Alexander's sister, Eliza & her family.

I've no idea what happened to Alexr. or Edith but their son was recorded at North Easton County School, Barnard Castle, Durham in the 1891 census.
