NOTE

George Henry, a Boiler Maker, was born c 1827 at Limehouse, London & died in 1882. His parents were William Perry & Ann Frances Bland. William John, James & Amelia all died in infancy & John Boaz died aged 20 yrs.

Immigration year: 1879

Limehouse has also been recorded as situated in Kent but current maps have it in Greater London.

"George Henry Perry, Ann Hocking Perry, Kate Lavinia, Lavinia Emily and William Truscott Perry appear on the 1880 USA census. From the info I have been given it seems GHP emigrated to the USA in 1878. As these 3 children are the youngest perhaps they were the only children to go to the USA. More investigation required, I think in due course." (By Pat Stevens)

The family was living at Jamaica Place, Limehouse, London (1851) with George's mother, Ann Frances Perry. The 1861 census records the family living at Poplar, London, although its almost unreadable & last name was recorded as 'Posey'.

I couldn't find anyone in the 1871 census.
