NOTE

Jesse, a Gate Repairer & Quarry Labourer, was born c 1818 at Stour Provost, Dorset & died in 1891. His father was Samuel Abbott. The family was living at .... Gate, Stour Provost, Dorset (1851). Young Edwin & Job are recorded as a Visitors at the house of Samuel Abbott, 65, Parish Relief, Berwick St John, Wiltshire at Mill Lane, Stour Provost, Dorset.

After Anna's death the family lived at Shave Lane, Todbere (sic), Dorset (1861). I couldn't find Jesse at all in 1871 & in 1881 he's recorded Todber, Dorset with Susan & Frank. Jesse, obviously experiencing hard times, is found as an inmate at the Shaftsbury Union Workhouse, Stour Provost, Dorset & probably died in there.

Susan, a Glover & Housekeeper, died aged 46 yrs at Quarry, Todber, Dorset. She never married. I couldn't find what happened to Frank after the 1891 census.
