The family were living at Douglas Rd The Manse, Muirkirk, Ayrshire in the 1871 census. Her brother, Alexander was also present. Later, the family are recorded at Parish Manse, Carnwath, Lanarkshire in 1881.

The 1891 & 1901 census' records the family living at the same place.
