William, a Shoemaker, was born c 1812 at Menheniot, Cornwall & died in 1873. His parents were Samuel Hodge & Grace Toll.

Anne & the children were living at Polbathick, St. Germans, Cornwall in the 1841 census & later, the family are living in the same area in 1851. No exact address is given however. Mary was in service & couldn't find Samuel?

The 1861 census records the family living at Mill Lane, St. Germans, Cornwall. Anne & William are living at Polbathick, St. Germans, Cornwall in 1871 with children, John, James & Henry. Also present is Grandaughter, Kate Webber.

Anne, now a widow, is living at the same place in 1881 with sons, John & Henry & dau., Ann (Webber) & her 2 children, Beatrice & William. Also present is Anne's mother. The 1891 census records Anne & sons, John & Henry living at the same place.
