Digory, a Yeoman/Farmer, was born c 1813 & died in 1870. He was from St. Austell, Cornwall. His parents were William & Mary Roberts. Anne died prior to 1841 as Digory re-married to Jane Bennetts in that year. Digory & Jane had 2 sons: Samuel Roberts (1843) & William Henry Roberts (1844).

"The name Digory is possibly from central character of medieval romance Sir Degare, "the lost one." Variant, Digory, exists."
