A Gravestone Reads: "Mary A. Hunkin died March 15th 1983 aged 59 beloved wife and mother Forever with us Bernard Hainsley Hunkin died January 25th 2000 aged 86 Elizabeth A Hunkin died 30th April 1988 aged 39 years Always remembered"

"I still have a very vivid memory of an oil tanker bearing down on us with our engines at full throttle and Hainsley waving his axe over the anchor rope and refusing to cut it because he didn’t want to lose his anchor.
