NOTE

Magnus, a Carpenter (Shop)/Grain Buyer/Manager (Lumber Co.), was born c 1868 at Stewartsville, Posey, Indiana & died in 1948. His parents were James & Caroline Boyle. His middle name could be 'Fretegeot'.

Their first son I found in the Indiana Birth Index dated 10.9.1893 who obviously must have died in infancy as another was named 'George Magnus' 23.11.1894, although his christian name isn't recorded in the index. The 23rd could also be wrong as on his World War I Draft Registration Card here, it records his b'day as the 28th ???

The family was living at Howell Town, Perry, Vanderburgh, Indiana in the 1900 census. Living next door was her sister, Alice (Boyle). The family later lived at Robb, Posey, Indiana in 1910.

In the 1920 census, Bertha, George & their four daughters are living at West Past Robb, Posey, Indiana. The above Thelma seems to always be recorded as 'Eleanor', a different child ??? The Indiana Birth Index records 2 dates for Thelma, 10.1.1902 & 15.1.1902 so... not sure!!

The family relocate by 1930 to Afton, DeKalb, Illinois. Also present are daus. Alice & Stella.
