Left Lancashire sometime between 1921 - 1926 to Providence, Rhode Island, USA. The census records them here at East Providence, Rhode Island (1930). Their second child was born here also, although I couldn't find her birth record in the Rhode Island Births, 1636-1930 records. John (Snr) worked for the Railroad.

Looks like John made a trip on the 19th Apr. 1922 from Liverpool, on the vessel 'SS Samaria' & arriving at Boston, Massachusetts 28 Apr 1922. SEE the Passenger List here. He's on his own & recorded as a 'Core Maker', and nearest relative Mrs. Clara O'Hara, 538 Gorton Lane, Manchester. His final destination was Fall River, Massachusetts.

Another Passenger List shows Clara making a similar trip on the 28th Jan. 1923 from Liverpool, on the 'SS Andania' & arriving at Boston, Massachusetts 5 Feb 1923. Her nearest relative being her mother, Mrs. J.M. Worthington, 17 Jowett St., Stockport. Her final destination was Fall River, Massachusetts.

I can't find anything relating to them going to USA together or their first child travelling.
