NOTE

* A boatman on a flat bottomed boat used in shallow waters (mainly rivers and canals) for transport. Cornelius died aged 20 yrs. His first wife died giving birth to their daughter, who also died.

The family was living at 7 Furlong St., Liverpool, Lancashire in the 1881 census & later at 126 Boundary St., Liverpool, Lancashire in 1891. Also present was his mother. The family are recorded at 57 Yetlow St., Kirkdale, Liverpool, Lancashire in 1901 & 1911.
