NOTE

Christian was born c 1854 at Edinburgh, Midlothian. Dau., Christian probably died in infancy. Mary was born c 1853 at Linlithgow, Linlithgowshire & was previous married to Robt. Sneddon.

Duff is recorded as a patient at Leith Hospital, Leith, Midlothian in the 1871 census & later, the family were living at Edinburgh St Andrew, Midlothian in 1881.

The 1891 census records the family at Kinneil, Boness, West Lothian. Duff, now remarried, is living at Waggon Road, Boness, West Lothian in 1901 with children, Jane, Marian & Alexr. Also present are Mary's children from a previous marriage, William, Robt., Sarah & Walter Sneddon.
