Edward & Ellen was living at Stockton Ward 4, San Joaquin, California (1900) with children, Anna & Walter. Edward's Immigration year was 1854 ??? & Ellen's in 1867 which sounds more plausable as their first son was born in 1866 in England.

I did find this family in the 1870 census of Stockton, San Joaquin, California. It records 2 further children: Ann & Anna, both born in England. I can't quite read their ages but it looks like 1 & 1w. I can only assume Richard, Ann & Anna all died before 1880. They may have also had another son, Alfred who also died in infancy.

Edward & Ellen are still living at Stockton Ward 4, San Joaquin, California in the 1910 census. Edward's occupation was 'own income' & Ellen's Immigration year is recorded as 1854.

The only Edward A. I found in the 1920 & 30 census' was married to Elizabeth, 1848, England (Year of immigration: 1871) at San Jose, Santa Clara, California. Did Edward re-marry ???
