NOTE

William was a Mason Labourer, born c 1839 at Stourton Caundle, Dorset. His parents were Elizabeth & John Hedditch. William died in 1924 aged 85 yrs. John & Samuel both died in infancy.

Eliza & William (and John aged just 1 week) lived with William's mother at Caundle St., Stourton Caundle, Dorset (1861). William's sister Louisa, 19, Glover Leather, Stourton Caundle, Dorset was also present. Later lived at The Ring, Stalbridge, Dorset (1871) with Samuel, Elizabeth & John (aged 7 months) then, New Cottages, Higher Lane, Stalbridge (1881). The 1891 census (at same address) records William & Eliza living next door to their son John, although their dau. Louisa is recorded as a son called 'Louie'. Eliza is recorded at Westminister Buildings (?), Stalbridge, Dorset (1901) with sons George & Tom & dau. Louisa. Husband William was recorded at Hendford Hill, Yeovil, Somerset (1901) as a visitor.
