John, a Farmer/Ag Lab, was born c 1804 at Whinfell, Kendal, Westmoreland & died in 1870. His parents were John Kitching * & Frances Askew. Elizabeth died in infancy. * Name also spelt as 'Kitchen'.

The family were living at Brigsteer, Helsington, Kendal, Westmorland in the 1841 census, although, Daniel wasn't present & I couldn't find him anywhere. The family were living in the same area in 1851, although no address is recorded.

Elizabeth & John are living at Kist Wells, Helsington, Kendal, Westmoreland in 1861 with children, Mary, Joseph & Thomas. Also present is Elizabeth's father.
