NOTE

George, a Crofter, was born c 1799 at Knockando, Moray & died in 1870. His parents were James McKandie & Anne Bell. He was previously married to Janet Garrow & had several children.

The family was living at Charlestown, Aberlour, Moray in the 1841 census. Also present was George's children from a previous marriage.

The 1851 & 61 census' records the family living at Bogbain, Keith, Banff. Ann, now a widow, is living at the same place with children, George, Agnes & Peter in 1871. Also present was Grandaughters, Anne & Elizabeth McKandie.

Ann was living at the same place in 1881 with son, George & dau., Agnes.

The 1891 census records Ann living at Newtown Croft, Keith, Banff. with son, George & daus., Elizabeth & Agnes.

Also present was Grandchildren, Annie Argo, Alexander Cumming, Isabella Milton, Lewis Marshal & George Grant.

Ann is back living at Bogbain in 1901 with son, George & dau., Agnes. All the above Grandchildren were also present, except George Grant.
