NOTE
William died in infancy & Jane died from Cholera aged 3 yrs.
"The rapid industrialisation of Bilston in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries led to chronic overcrowding and insanitary conditions, which were an ideal breeding ground for the cholera epidemic of 1832. During seven weeks, one in twenty of Bilston's population died from the disease. The death rate was so high that coffins could not be made quickly enough and had to be brought in from Birmingham."
I found the marriage at the Wolverhampton St Peter registers 1539-1838. It was witnessed by Benjamin Lowe & Samuel Hancher. Although recorded at St. Peter's there's a note saying 'At St. John's Chapel'.
The family was living at Ellingshall Lane, Bilston, Wolverhampton (1841). SEE
here. Later, the family was living at Bilston, Ettingshall, Staffordshire (1851), although it records Frederick's birthplace as 'Macclesfield' & everyone elses as 'Bilston'. SEE
here.
The 1861 census records Frederick & Jane at Chapel St., Wednesfield, Staffordshire. Being a lodging house there's a few people present including, Grandson, Frederick Heywood, visitor & daughter-in-law, Lucy Proctor, 25, Packer in Factory Warehouse, Birmingham & also lodgers, Samuel Proctor & family. SEE the census
here.
