Mary was born c 1870 at Gray County, Ontario & died in 1957. Her parents were James McGirr & Mary-Jane Van Meer. Milton (Failure to thrive due to acute illness in mother), Willie (Died of congenital heart desease) & Carson (Pneumonia) all died in infancy.
The family were living at Strong, Muskoka and Parry Sound, Ontario in the 1901 census. & later at Strong, Parry Sound Dist., Ontario in 1911, although the index records their name as 'Cartson'.
