George & 'Nellie' were cousins. The wedding was performed by Revd George Lawson, Min. of Forglen. Nellie's sister Jessie was a bridesmaid and Piper's brother James, was best man.

The family were living at Bridge End, Forglen, Banff. in the 1901 census. Also present was Cousins, Bella & Agnes Findlater.
