The 1871 census records Helen living at 178 Skene St West, Old Machar, Aberdeen with dau., Mary & Grandaughter, Helen Anderson, 1860, England.

A Gravestone Reads: " To the memory of WILLIAM ANDERSON farmer Easter Field Inverkeithny d. there May 1830 aged 37. His wife HELEN PORTER d. Manse of Ythan Wells 7 Nov. 1871 aged 74. Their two sons who d. in St. Vincent; JOHN d. 22 July 1853 aged 23, FRANCIS d. 13 Aug. 1868 aged 46. Their dau. MARY d. Manse of Ythan Wells 6 Apr. 1913 aged 88."
