John was born abt. 1720 & was a Farmer. He died in 1782. Difficult to work out if their name is spelt Cuyson (IGI) or Cowison (gravestone). Appears that their first two children died in infancy or very young.

A Gravestone Reads: " This stone is place here by ISOBEL (A changed to E) LARGUE in memory of her husband JOHN COWISON late farmer in Mill of Towie d. 24 Sept. 1782 aged 62 & of their children JAMES & ISOBEL who were cut off in the flower of youth. ISOBEL LARGUE above named d. 12 Nov. 1808 aged 80. JANNET COWISON their dau. d. 17 July 1825 aged 67; BARBARA COWISON d. 17 Jan. 1847 aged 86."
