NOTE

Alexr., a Grain Merchant, was born c 1833 at Mortlach, Banff. His parents were James Mitchell & Elizabeth Simpson. Recorded as a boarder at 5 Boyndie St., Banff. Banff. in the 1851 census. Her brother William was also present.

It appears Isabella & Alexr. emmigrated to Montréal, Quebec, Canada just after they had their first daughter in 1863 & came back to Mortlach c 1866 & had Rosanna. Dau., Catherine is also born in Mortlach & emmigrated to Quebec a year later in 1877.
