NOTE

Alexr., a Farmer was born c 1781 at Knockando, Moray & died in 1843. His parents were James Proctor & Margt. Sim. Elizabeth died in infancy.

A Gravestone reads: "Jas Proctor 29.6.18 [15] 79, w Margt Sim 30.6.1801 [5] 7, da Janet 13.2.1795 21, da Margt 27.3.1800 15, s Alex 22.3.1843 61, s John 17.12.1845 68, da Isabel ed d 30.6.1849 75; Margt Proctor d Rothes 10.1.1892 51."

The family was living at Braehead, Knockando, Moray in the 1841 census.

After Alexander's death, Isabella married, Peter Proctor, a Farmer, born c 1814 at Rothes, Moray & died in 1894. His parents were Alexr. Proctor & Eliza Findlay.

The 1851 census records the family living in the same area. Also present was her 4 children from her 1st marriage. Later, the family were living at Clackbrack, Rothes, Moray in 1861. Also present was her 3 daus., from her previous marriage.

The family are living in the same place in 1871. Also present are 2 Grandaughters, Isabella Shand & Margaret Littlejohn.

The 1881 census records the family living at the same place. Also present was Grandchildren, John Shand, William G. Scott & Margaret Littlejohn. Peter's sister, Isabella was also present. Strangly, Isabella is also recorded at her son-in-law's (Walter Scott) house at 5 Seafield St., Portsoy, Fordyce with dau., Elizabeth ???

Peter, now a widow, was living at the same place with son, Alexander & Grandaughter, Margaret Littlejohn in 1891.
