Isobel was recorded with her Uncle, William Findlater at Mill of Carnousie, Forglen, Banff. in the 1841 census & later with her father at Mill Of Fishery, King Edward, Aberdeen in 1851.

The 1861 census records Isobel living at the same place with sister, Elspet & her son, John. Isobel is living alone at High St., King Edward, Aberdeen in 1871.
