Mary was born c 1848 at Council Bluff, Pottawattamie, Iowa & died in 1903. James died in infancy & Maud aged 8 yrs.

The family were living at Salt Lake City Ward 16, Salt Lake, Utah Territory in the 1870 & 80 census'. Jacob & Mary are living at Granger, Salt Lake, Utah in 1900 with children, Eliza, Bertrum, Frank & Elmer.

Jacob, now a widow, is living in the same area in 1910 with sons, Bertrum, Frank & Elmer. Also present is his sister, Annie E. Clawson. The 1920 & 30 census' records Jacob living with his second wife at Salt Lake City Ward 1, Salt Lake, Utah.
