James was living at Claggan, Knockando, Moray in the 1861 census with his mother & son, Frederick. He is recorded living at the same place in 1871. I couldn't find his son anywhere.

A gravestone reads: "Lewis Robertson 29.2.1828 53, w Jane [I]nkson 16.10.1864 72, da Jane 1.4.183. 10, s Lewis d Australia 25.1.1847 31, s Jas fr Claggan 16.4.1875 57"
