NOTE

Rebecca was born c 1808 at Elmsted, Kent & died in 1843.

Originally I thought James had died before 1851 as I couldn't find him in that census & his last two children were in the poor house but, there's a James Hopkins, brother, 74, Labourer, Elmsted living at Hill St., Elmsted, Kent in the 1871 census. He was living with Sarah Hopkins who was the wife of James' brother Stephen.

I have since found a James Hopkins, lodger, wid, 62, Ag Lab, Elmsted living at East End Lane, Minster in Sheppey, Kent (1861).

Ann died aged 14 & Bathia died aged 12. Both children were recorded at the Elham Union Workhouse, Lyminge, Kent (1851). SEE here. They both died there too.
