NOTE

Elizabeth was born c 1802 at Lillington, Dorset & died in 1858. Mary Ann, a Housekeeper, was born c 1813 at Pulham, Dorset & died in 1905. She may have been Mary Ann Goddard who first married, Joseph Barter ??? Julianna (1820-1851) marr. Charles Pitt.

A Gravestone Reads: "In affectionate remembrance of Mary Ann JEANS who died Feb. 2nd 1905 aged 91 years "Peace perfect peace." Also to the memory of Elizabeth the wife of James JEANS and mother of Julianna PITT who died August 18th 1858 aged 57 years. Also of James JEANS husband of the above who died March 17th 1882 aged 82 years."

James & Elizabeth were living at High St., Stalbridge, Dorset (1851), with their daughter, Julianna (Pitt). James, now a widow, is living at the same address in 1861 with his Grandaughter, Eliza Longman.

James & his second wife Mary Ann were living at the same address in 1871 & 1881. I couldn't find Mary in the 1891 census although, in 1901 she's recorded as a boarder at Ring, Stalbridge, Dorset.
