NOTE

Lewis, a Farmer was born c 1776 at Knockando, Moray & died in 1828. His parents were Lewis Robertson & Elspet Proctor. Lewis died aged 31 yrs in Australia & Jane died aged 10 yrs.

A gravestone reads: "Lewis Robertson 29.2.1828 53, w Jane [I]nkson 16.10.1864 72, da Jane 1.4.183. 10, s Lewis d Australia 25.1.1847 31, s Jas fr Claggan 16.4.1875 57"

Jane & children, James & Elizabeth were living at Claggan, Knockando, Moray in the 1841 census. Jane & son, James were living at the same place in 1851.

The 1861 census records Jane & son, James at the same place. Also present was a Grandson, Frederick Robertson.
