George, an Ag Lab/Labourer at Paper Mill/Lurry Driver, was born c 1834 at Tebay, Westmorland & died in 1893 *. His parents were Thomas & Jane Thornborrow. * Unconfirmed.

The family were living at Brigsteer Levens, Levens, Westmorland in the 1861 census & later at Cragg, Strickland Kettle, Westmorland in 1871. George's father was also present.

The 1881 & 91 census' records the family living at Village of Mealbank, Scalthwaiterigg, Westmorland. Also present is Niece, Elizabeth Kitching in both.
