Mum has very fond memories of her Grandmother & how nice & caring she was. She would always bring a suitcase full of present & tins of fruit when she visited & remembers Gran taking her on holiday to Ilford, Essex to visit her Uncle, Charlie & Auntie, Eva Ford. She never forgot a birthday & always sent a cake she had made in Aberdeen. She had quite a hard life as her husband died when her boys were very young & worked hard to support them. Mum got the impression that later on in life when she was in ill health both her sons didn't really want her around which makes her quite sad & she was no bother.
