NOTE

Sarah of Stalbridge, Dorset. Name also recorded as Hannah Jeans. (FamilySearch.com would suggest she was bap. 7.10.1790 but this is false as the 1851 census below says she was 48 thus born around 1803 & not 1790). Marr. witnessed by Aquila Jeans & Elias Greenstock. Banns by F.V. Luke, curate. Henry & Priscilla both died in infancy.

The family lived at Drews Lane, Stalbridge, Dorset (1841), which included a son, John Duffett, born c 1832. Also living near by are William Jeans & Daniel Clinch. The family were still living at the same address in 1851, although I've no idea what happened to his children from his first marriage ??? None of them were present in this census.

The family was still living here in 1861 & also present is a Grandaughter, Emily, 6, Stalbridge. I have no idea who this was, although there is an Emily Duffett, bap. 21.1.1855 at Stalbridge & looks like an Illigitimate child of Emily Duffett. She may have been the Emily, dau. of Job's brother John Duffett. Her husband died in 1852 so... could be?

Job (still at Drews Lane) is recorded as a widow & a Pauper in 1871. Also present is his 'Grandaughter' Emily Duffett, 16, Glove Maker, Stalbridge.

Samuel's (1st) wife Sarah (b. 1785), of Stalbridge, Dorset. Dau. of John Poole & Sarah Bateson. She died in 1830 (DUFFETT, Sarah, 1785, za, 20 Sep 1830, 45, Stalbridge, 1785, B3532, RE08/0442).

Burial records would suggest (DUFFETT, Mary, 1835, za, 05 Oct 1835, 4M, Stalbridge, 17 May 1835, B3677, RE08/0586) that Mary died but she is recorded on the 1851 census.
