NOTE

Other trees have John first married to Isabella Roy but I couldn't find an record of that or any children ? Elspet was born c 1831 at King Edward, Aberdeen & died in 1892.

The family was living at 1 Seafield St., Boyndie, Banff. in the 1861 census. I couldn't find anyone in 1871 but in 1881 the family is recorded at Cottage Cathillocks, Fordyce, Banff.

Elspet, now a widow, is living at Old Cullen St., Portsoy, Fordyce with dau., Catherine & Grandson, David Grant in the 1891 census.
