The family were living at Back Lane, St Blazey, Cornwall in the 1851 census & later at Highway Village, Tywardreath, Cornwall in 1861. The former records Ellen's name as 'Grace' ?

The 1871 census records Joseph & 'Grace' living at Fore St., St Blazey, Cornwall with daus., Margaret & Ellen (White). Also present is son-in-law, John White.
