NOTE

James, a Signal Linesman for Railway was born c 1837 at Sherborne, Dorset. His father was William Brown. I can't find them in the 1871 census but they are recorded at The Ring, Stalbridge, Dorset in 1881.

Strangly I can't find this family in the 1891 or 1901 census'.
