Robert was born c 1891 at Grey Co., Ontario. His parents were Thomas Hannon & Sarah Jane Pemrose.
"When Mary Jane Adams married Robert Hannon, they moved to Toronto (aprox 1930) and finally settled at number 4 Sackville Street. This is in Toronto's industrial east end. I remember as a young boy visiting my grandmother Mary at this home. It was a two bedroom house backing on to a lane that serviced factories, not a great location. In the 1960's when I would visit, Mary still had an ice-box in the kitchen and the bathroom had only an old pull chain toilet with a water closet several feet above the floor. The house is gone now, it was torn down and replaced with another factory." (By George Mallen)
