NOTE

Walter, a Cowman/Milkman, was born c 1841 at Ickleford, Hertfordshire & died in 1915. His parents were David Pestell & Sarah Bean. Sarah marr. John Coleman & Lavinia died in infancy.

Henry, a Mariner/Labourer, was born c 1846 at Newick, Sussex & died in 1883 at Union Workhouse, Chiltington, Sussex. His death record can be seen here.

"You are right in thinking that Mary Ann Boaz was married to Henry Eastland, she met Walter and had two children by him, then Henry conveniently died so she could make herself legal!!" (Christine Coleman)

The family was living at 142 Harford St., (?), Mile End Old Town, London in the 1891 census. Mary & her last 3 children are living at Poplar St Luke, London in the 1901 census. I can't read the street address but it looks like she ran a clothes shop ? Walter wasn't present.
