Richard, a Miner/Tin Miner/Copper Miner/General Labourer, was born c 1816 at St. Austell, Cornwall. Richard died aged 7 yrs & Frederick aged 29 yrs.

The family were living at Tregonissey Village, St. Austell, Cornwall in the 1841 census. Also present is a Jane Hancock, 6, Cornwall. The 1851 & 61 census' records the family at Tregorrick, St. Austell, Cornwall.

The 1871 census records Mary & Richard living at Little Carwollen, St. Austell, Cornwall with children, Harriet, Frederick, David & Samuel. Also present is Mary's mother. A few doors away their son, Joseph was living with his wife, Maria Retallick.

Mary & Richard are living at Carclaze, St. Austell, Cornwall in 1881 with sons, Frederick & Samuel. Also present is Grandaughter, Elizabeth J. Tabb. As far as I know she was Ellen's illigitimate dau., bap. Elizabeth Jane Tabb Hancock, 9.10.1873 at St. Mewan, Cornwall.

Richard is living at Stenalees, St. Austell, Cornwall in 1891 with his second wife, Nancy Martin. He died a year later.
