"This lot I am virtually certain about. My grandfather, William George Perry, often visited his relatives in Petts Wood on a regular basis. ister May was referred to and his nephew was a Dick Simmonds! Can't recall anything about the others but may well be likely. As a child, I remember WGP returning home with a piece of Gala Pie and I am fairly certain a meat product of some description. A point of interest, Dick Simmonds was involved in jewellery and made both my wedding ring and engagement ring (he kept lots of precious stones in an old shoebox which was kept in garden shed). My sisters and I were also told, and have no reason to disbelieve, that DS adorned with gems the pen that the Queen signed the Coronation Book with." (From Pat Stevens)
