This is a list of deaths I found with ref. to Hunkin that I cannot place. If anyone can help it would be appreciated. I'm sure a majority of them belong in my family tree somewhere.



Leilani T.P. Hall, 33, of Wahiawa died Thursday Aug 15, 1996 in Queen's Hospital. She is survived by mother Maluolefale Hunkin Salave'a; brothers William Jr., Edward and Matthew S. Hall, and George Hunkin; sisters Margaret Brown, Christine Ah Ching, Geraldine Amituana'i, Marilyn Harris, Roseann Hunkin and Pulotu Salave'a; and grandmother Fa'anenefu Afoa Lutu Hunkin. MARIANA MATALENA IOANE, 63, of Honolulu, died Nov. 6, 2000. Born in Pago Pago, American Samoa. Survived by husband, Tino; daughters, Elisapeta Ioane and Paula Manz; brothers, Too Too Fuamatu, Tomasi Maugaotega and John Hunkin; sisters, Kalala Taiafi, Velonika Titialii, Susana Suafoa, Fuiono Tagoai and Paula Contreras; two grandchildren. Visitation 7:15 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady of Peace Cathedral, service 8 p.m. Visitation also 10 a.m. Monday at the church, Mass noon; burial 1:30 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park. Lagofaatasi L.A. Fagasau, 79, of Maili, a minister for the Church of Christ in Nuu'uli, American Samoa, died March 25 in St. Francis-West Hospital. Born in Eva, Western Samoa, he is survived by sons Niutunu Faiaipau, Vaa Pa'u, Lago Dozinn and David Alaga; daughters Faalupe Lauvale, Evelise Faapouli, Lupe Ae Ae, Orepa Hall and Ella Allen; brothers Igafo Situa and Leilua, Tavita and Uelese Fagasau; sisters Lupe Siaopo, Leafa Hunkin and Tupu Fagasau; 29 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. Services: 9 a.m. Monday at Mililani Downtown Mortuary. Burial: Sunset Memorial Park. Casual attire. No flowers.

SITUA "SAM" IGAFO, 60, of Wai'anae, died July 19, 2000. Born in American Samoa. A heavy equipment operator. Survived by wife, Elaine; sons, Billy, Sabastian and Maloa; daughters, Kim and Elaine; hanai son, Sam Neemia; sisters, Leafa Hunkin and Lupe Siapo. Service to be held in American Samoa. Sad to announce the passing away of SAFOTULAFAI HUNKIN MOANANU ULUGAONO LALAU, 79, of Kapolei, on Feb. 25, 2003. Born in Afao, American Samoa. Retired from Tripler Army Hospital Food Service Division with 25 years of service. Survived by sons, Fil, Jerry, Andrew, Richard, Adam, Alan, Eric and Ellis; daughters, Rose, Misifeleni York, Anna Rosemond, Jane Kalolo, Bettyann Olo, Betty Schroeder, Fogavai Scott and Sisamoa Ah Sam; sister, Aneva Noa; 36 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren.

IOSEFA PUTA PETELO, 65, of Poloa, American Samoa, died March 28, 2003. Born in Vaitogi, American Samoa. Retired security guard. Survived by wife, Sasa; sons, Ene, Setu, Iosefa Jr. and Peniamina; daughters, Eveline, Sui Chonmon and Sasa; brothers, Soa and Filipo; sisters, Tanumia Hunkin, Eseese Liu, Moelani Pule and Lusia Selusi; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. EDDIE DON HUNKIN, 46, of Hono-lulu, died March 12, 2003. Born in American Samoa. Survived by wife, Marcella "Marcie"; son, Eddie Jr.; daughters, Kristin Lono, Amelia, Jennifer Quinonez and Sarah; grandchildren, Isaiah, David, Christian, Daniel and Nicole. JOSEPHINE SOLINU'U SHIMASAKI HAGEDORN, 62, of Fagaalu, American Samoa, died Dec. 4, 2001. Born in American Samoa. A register nurse retired from LBJ Hospital in American Samoa.
