NOTE

James, a Sailor then later a Fisherman, was born c 1800 at Mevagissey, Cornwall & died in 1878. He was probably bap. 3.11.1799 to James & Nancy Kelly. Witnesses to marr. John Hunkin & Maria Dunn. Joseph & James both died in infancy. Eliza may also have died in infancy. The 1871 census below records a Grand-daughter Laura, 1866, Mevagissey. She was the dau. of Robert & Grace Ann Kelly. I am not sure what happened to any of them.

The family were living at Cliff St., Mevagissey, Cornwall in the 1841 census & later at Chaple Hile (?), Mevagissey, Cornwall in 1851. Nancy & James are living in the same area (no exact address recorded) in 1861 with sons, James & Samuel & dau., Nancy.

Nancy & James are living at Upper Cliff St., Mevagissey, Cornwall in 1871 with Grandaughter, Laura Kelly.
