NOTE

Sophia, a Servant/Cook, was born c 1861 at Looe, Cornwall & died in 1947. Her parents were George Soady (Fisherman) & Elizabeth Landrey. Sophia was recorded at Chapel St., East Looe (1901) with her mother Elizabeth. Richard Henry served on HMS Belleisle (1891). Vernon died aged 2 & Christopher died in infancy.

The 1911 census records the family living at 20 Church St., Salcombe, Devon.

Witnesses to marriage were George E. Soady & Louisa Adams. Banns read out from District Church of East Looe and in the Church of West Looe, 03-May, 10-May & 17-May. Richard's residence was St James the Great Devonport.
