NOTE

Sarah was born c 1806 at Elmsted, Kent & died in 1881. Caroline died aged 18.

The family was living at Clover, Elham, Kent (1851). Also present is a visitor, Herbert F. Marshall.

The 1861 census records Richard & Sarah at 7 Blackfriars North, Canterbury St Alphege, Kent. Also present are two 'adopted' children, Herbert Marshall & Anne W. Conley. Also present is a grandson, Walter J.S. Hopkins, who could only have been an illigitimate son of Mary Ann.

Richard & Sarah are recorded at Windmile ... (?), St Leonard, Kent (1871). Also present is a 'Main Child', Robina B Wilton, 1, Hythe, Kent.
