NOTE

Rose was born in Green River, Emery County, Utah. She should have been Christened Rosie Stella, but the Reverend made a mistake and she was Christened Rose Estella. She was named Rose after her Mothers younger sister, Rose. She was trained as a Soprano singer. She would play the piano together with her husband Albert and she would sing songs. Albert and Rose met when he was teaching dancing (Tap). In later life she used to sew beadwork on to fabric. She would do the pieces at home and then take them to her employer when they were completed.

Albert (1882-1959), a Tool Maker from West Ham, Essex. S. of James Odden & Annie Field. Albert Odden was a very clever man. He could make anything. He was by trade a tool maker. I think he was quite strict with the children, who all called him Pop. During the depression of the 1920's and 30's he found it impossible to find work and he set up a business with his brother Charlie, A. & C. Odden. They made toys for children. He made a one string fiddle which remains in the family today. He came from quite a large family . Albert was very interested in radios and made crystal sets for the children to listen to.

Frank was climbing up a tree at the age of 22 and he fell out of it and broke his back . He went to hospital and never recovered. He was known in the family as 'Boy'. He was also an accomplished guitar player. He worked for Boots until he was 21, when he was no longer required. His death so premature, was doubly tragic as he was the only boy in the whole of the family. Rose and Albert bought a special plot of land for Frank to be Buried in , at City of London Cemetery. Albert had spent alot of time unemployed due to depression and it was very difficult for them to afford this. (Notes provided by Sally Penton).
