Emma, a House Keeper, was born c 1855 at California, USA. She first married Samuel's brother, Thomas Tretheway.

The family was living at Alameda Precinct 11, Alameda, California in 1900. Also present was 'step-son', Charles F. & daughter-in-law, Edna Tretheway, 1882, California. This census suggests Edna was married to Leslie but he was only 16 yrs at the time so... maybe she was Charles' wife ???

The 1910 census records Samuel & 'Emily' living at Alameda Ward 5, Alameda, California. Their son was living next door. Samuel & 'Emmie L.' are recorded at Precinct #30, Alameda, Alameda, California. Both still living in Alameda in 1930.

Both probably died before 1940.
