NOTE

Hannah was born c 1833 at Whitechurch, Shropshire & died in 1915. Her parents were John & Elizabeth Kynaston. I have no idea what happened to Harriet.

1854. Marriage solemnized in The Independent Chapel at Stalbridge in the district of Sturminster in the County of Dorset, Eleventh February 1854, Samuel Duffett, full age, bachelor, labourer, Stalbridge, Job Duffett, Labourr, Elizabeth Harris, full, age, widow, stalbridge, robert hinks, labourer, Married in the Independent Chapel according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Independent Church by me, (looks like a bit of latin, a bisente ??) John H**t (i think it's Hunt), Registrar, This Marriage was solemnized between us Samuel Duffett & X The mark of Elizabeth Harris, In the presence of us, Thomas Duffett & X The mark of Ann Hinks

The family lived at Guggleton St., Stalbridge, Dorset in 1861. Also present was a 'wifes-daughter' Esther M. Harris, 12, Stalbridge. Interestingly they lived a few doors away from Elias & Matilda Duffett. By 1871 the family were still living at the same address, although Samuel's birthplace is recorded as 'Marnhull, Dorset'. Interestingly a few doors away was some other relatives of Samuels, Thomas & Sarah Jeans.

The 1881 census records Samuel with his second wife & two children Harry & Ruth at Back New St Off Bolton Road, Pendlebury, Lancashire. By 1891 the family lived at 8 Hopwood St., Irlam o th Height, Pendlebury, Lancashire.

After Samuel's death Hannah & Ruth lived at the same address. Also present was Hannah's brother Charles Kynason, 48, Collier Labourer, Whitechurch, Shropshire.

Thankyou to Christine Lawrence for her help with the Duffett line
