* Their last three children are a bit of a mystery as I believe they were all born after Samuel's death.

Joseph was later adopted to Henry & Grace Richardson. His full name may be Charles Joseph.

The family was living at 22 Dale St., Little Bolton, Lancashire in the 1871 census.
