NOTE

Charles, a Ag Labourer/Stone Dyker, was born c 1817 at Pitsligo, Aberdeen & died in 1890. His father was Andrew Mitchell. He was previously married. Charles died in infancy.

Before Sarah married she had several illigitimate children; James Lawrence, Ann Fraser & William Howitt.

Sarah was living with her sister, Helen Lyon at Auchlin Cottage, King Edward, Aberdeen in the 1851 census. Also present was her children, James & Ann.

The 1861 census records Sarah & son, William at Blackshouse, King Edward, Aberdeen. Sarah & Charles were living at Hawkhall, Forgue, Aberdeen in 1871.

Sarah & Charles are living at Cottage At Boggouch, Inverkeithny, Banff. in 1881. Also present was her son, William Howitt. Sarah, now a widow, is living at the same place in 1891.

She's recorded living with her son, William & his family at Bog Yoush, Inverkeithny, Banff. in the 1901 census.
